SQA Specialist (Supplier Quality Assurance)

We are looking for an SQA Specialist to work for Thule Sp. z o.o. in one of our sites: either in Piła  or Huta Szklana depending on your location. This position can be interesting for someone who is an effective communicator and decision maker with a strong integrity. The main purpose of the role is to ensure that our suppliers meet the quality standards set by Thule Group and the automotive industry standards.

The role

In this role you will lead and secure supplier development in order to improve their performance. How can this be achieved? Firstly, you will drive and coordinate all quality related communication between Thule and our suppliers as they need a thorough understanding of what our product development team as well as production sites within the group require, this is mainly secured through PPAP towards our suppliers. As our SQA Specialist you will also lead the supplier agenda within the quality field and make sure that the right purchasing strategies are  implemented. Additionally we expect you to make sure that our suppliers achieve the quality related KPI’s by setting action plans, supervising their implementation and conducting ongoing follow ups. Working in this role you will also be responsible for conducting quality and sustainability audits at our suppliers.

Our expectations

We are looking for experienced candidates (2-5 years) with a higher degree, preferably within engineering/quality areas or a comparable work experience. Involvement in operational quality assurance from external suppliers or within a production facility is a must. Successful candidates should also have a strong background in performing supplier audits (based on VDA 6.3 requirements). What is more we need you to have a good knowledge of customer specific requirements within the automotive industry such as ISO 9001, VDA 6.3.; IATF 16949:2016. You need to know about and be able to work with PPAP. Ideal candidates will be fluent in English, have strong networking skills and experience from working with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of IMDS will be advantageous. The job gives an opportunity to travel around Poland and Europe whilst visiting our suppliers.
