About the position:
As Thule Group continues to grow we offer you the opportunity to join our Engineering team at our Global Product Development Center in Hillerstorp, within our different product categories; Sports & Cargo, Packs, Bags And Luggage and Active with Kids. As a Design Engineer you will have the opportunity to further develop your career together with a great team of highly skilled engineers with a high level of technical expertise and interest for the products that Thule Group develops. You will work with world-class products as well as gain new knowledge and experiences.
As a Design Engineer you will develop new products and components with high quality within targeted cost budget and time plans to meet market requirements of our consumer. You will also be evaluating technical solutions with respect to manufacturing methods, strength requirements, cost and aesthetics. You will work in close cooperation with Project managers, Concept engineers, Simulation Engineers, Test engineers, Prototyping and other Design Engineers as well as other resources within Thule Group.
Your profile:

We trust you have a structured and professional approach with flexibility in mind and consistency in delivery together with a strong problem-solving ability. An important requirement is that you have an academic degree in Mechanical engineering or similar, preferably with a couple of years with relevant work experience in design engineering or product development. We expect you have 3D-CAD competence (preferable Solidworks), PDM-system competence, documented technical knowledge as well as fluency in English.

About our Global Product Development Department:
We have over 120 engineers working in our Global Product Development Department and to keep the momentum in successful product development innovation, most of our Product Development functions are in-house, such as project managers, industrial designers, concept-, design-, prototype-, simulation- and test-engineers. Our team consists of highly skilled and motivated members with a well-balanced variety of experiences.
We are a truly global company with an international and multi culturally mixed team. English is the language we use in our daily communication. We see a great future with continued passion for product development that is so vital for our growth as a company. We have invested heavily in expansion of our site in Hillerstorp. New offices, more space and a highly equipped Product Development center with a very impressive Global Test Center are investments that we are proud of.
