Thule Group continues to grow and we are in the most ambitious period in the company’s history, in terms of product development investments in our traditional categories, Sports & Cargo as well as in our newer categories such as Active With Kids.
To enable this expansion along with newly and top modern investments in our testing facility, we are now strengthening our Engineering team with a Test Engineer for the steady growing product category Sports & Cargo (roof racks, roof boxes and carriers for transporting cycling, water and winter equipment by car).
Working as a Test Engineer at Thule you will be a member in the Product development team making sure we continue to deliver world-class products to the market that are robust, safe, ergonomic and in line with the highest standards and demands from a local legislation perspective.
The majority of your time will be spent on tasks related to mechanical testing, but with an increased share of electronics and software in our products, you will support in those areas as well.
In your daily work you will balance your tasks by performing practical tests (static, dynamic (durability and crash test), environmental, performance etc.) of components and complete products with more theoretical tasks like; guide and give input to other functions within R&D during complete product development cycle, analyze and present results, reading standards and writing reports.
You will work in close collaboration with our team manager for project testing as well as other team members by planning and following up test results through the development process. You will also play a key role when it comes to creating test plans, translating standards into best practice test methods as well as developing new test methods and test equipments.
The Candidate
We are looking for you who have a B.Sc or M.Sc in Engineering (Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electronics) or similar discipline who are passionate about working with testing and validation.
We expect that you have a great technical interest as well as the ability to communicate and grasp higher level of the technical language.
You easily switch between deep analysis of regulation- and standard texts and the hands on approach of testing our products.
Former experience and proven success of testing is an advantage but most important is your interest in being part of developing world-class and high quality products.
You are fluency in English along with basic understanding of Swedish.

Globally we are over 250 engineers, with the majority working in our Global Product Development Center in Hillerstorp (Sweden).
