Site Buyer - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

The purpose of the Site Purchaser is to be total supplier responsible and the main Thule contact. It is to make sure that purchasing strategies are implemented at suppliers and to lead the supplier agenda covering quality, delivery performance, sustainability and cost development and assure that suppliers are delivering and performing into new development projects. The Site Buyer is also co-ordinating the site purchasing team (quality and logistics) activities and setting the direction for supplier action plans.

Role Description   

• Total supplier responsible and main Thule contact
• Assure that category purchasing strategies are implemented at supplier base
• Main responsible for driving supplier KPI performance covering quality, delivery performance, sustainability and cost development
• Set the direction and co-ordinate the supplier agenda within the quality and logistical areas
• Responsible for driving supplier development in general
• Support and secure new product development projects on the factory floor at suppliers
• Feed and challenge the development projects with new technology- & material innovation opportunities from the supplier base

Wanted profile

Hard Skills      

• Experience from operational and/or tactical sourcing in an international environment, preferably for own production facilities (2-12 years experience)
• Experience from international negotiations
• Good materials knowledge and technical understanding / interest in general
• Networking skills and experience from working with cross-functional teams
• Fluent in Dutch and English (speaking and writing), knowledge of French and German is advantage
• Experience in ERP system logic
• Higher education (bachelor or master), preferably within business economics or engineering
