As a Product Compliance Engineer at our global Project Support Organization located in Hillerstorp, you will have the opportunity to develop your career path in an outstanding and growing lab. We are looking for a new team member who would join the product compliance team, which is composed by highly skilled engineers with a high level of technical expertise and interest for the products that Thule Group develops. You will work with world-class products as well as gaining new knowledge and experiences.

The assignment:
As the Compliance Engineer you make sure that all applicable product requirements are proactively implemented into the development projects. By developing compliance policies, procedures, plans, and guidelines you secure successful product launches on a global basis.
In this position you will be working with structured, governed and phased implementation projects and will be an important part of global projects. Meaning, you will be in close relation with project teams from different sites of Thule Group as well as product management and other R&D functions. You will be involved in both small and large projects where you are expected to take on an expert role when it comes to setting product requirements and secure that the product will fulfill and exceed the standards and statutory levels. As an example, new products would require you to set up new test plans and how, where and when the tests should be executed in practice.
In order to be on top of the compliance area, contact to third party institutes and standardization committees are part of your role. Not only to secure compliance of the Thule products but also to influence the safety for our children in the future on a broader basis.
Before launching the product, you also initiate and drive the homologation and third party certification.
Practical verification, write test reports, summarize the pertinent standards and support the compliance team in different ways: for example by gathering requirements for different products are part of the daily tasks.

Your profile:
You hold an academic degree in Engineering (mechanics, mechatronics, chemistry or biomechanics) along with some years of work experience. You need to have knowledge in basic measurement tools and measuring methodology. It is a plus and an additional merit if you have experience from standardization, quality assessment or similar. Experience in testing, product compliance and work within product development is of course highly valued. Your English is fluent both spoken and written and if your Swedish is not fluent, then there must be a willingness to learn it.
You need to be a structured person with a curious and proactive mindset to become a dedicated team member. These are important aspects as Thule Group always strive for taking our projects and products forward. You are creative and have a genuine interest for the products that you work with, as well as a customer perspective in terms of quality and safety. We also believe that you enjoy working with test both practically and theoretically.
You are someone who is able to take on individual responsibility and show a can-do and positive attitude towards your work and team colleagues. We are looking for someone who will daily demonstrate collaborative skills across teams and departments in order to contribute to the continuous improvement of the quality of our products.
