What you will do at Thule 

In the role as Commercial Director Australia your overarching responsibility is to lead and coach the country sales and marketing teams to achieve long term success with topline growth and profitability. You are responsible for delivering brand and financial growth in the region in line with our overall company goals. You are also responsible for optimizing distribution and expanding key channels including Bike, Automotive, Juvenile, Outdoor/Sport, Luggage. You are expected to expand the Direct To Consumer footprint, digital as well as with Thule stores. 

In addition, you will also focus on  

  • Developing long-term sales, distribution and marketing plan for existing and new customers with clear actionable targets for the team as we like to get things done! 
  • Report on monthly sales and marketing development as well as monthly qualitative and quantitative forecasting. This gives us insights into the development as well into our future planning.  
  • Have a good understanding of the business and the regional marketplace to be able to manage the business through strong partnership with stakeholders and new accounts as well as the team.  
  • Coach and lead the sales and marketing team to develop strategic thinking, customer account management and trusted customer relationship. Apply a “doer” mentality in all tasks by leading by example in planning, execution, and follow-up 

The position will be based in either Melbourne or Sydney with frequent travels to the other location. 

What you bring 

To be successful in the role as Commercial Director Australia we believe that you have extensive knowledge in key account management, independent retailer expansion and leadership. You have extensive experience of Sales Management for either Sports, Outdoor, Fashion or SMCG, in addition experience from the Bike Channel would have extra weight.
